Serena Williams looks to be back next month in Italy.

Serena Williams has asked and was granted a wildcard for the Italian Open in Rome.  Williams originally didn not enter the tournament that begins on May 3rd, so she had to go the avenue of asking to be allowed to play in the tournament as a wild card participant.  This past Tuesday, tournament organizers granted her wish and announced 9 of the top 10 women will be playing.  #10 Kim Clijsters is the exception.  It looks like Dinara Safina may be making her comeback from a injured back at about the same time.
