Wayne Odesnik on the tennis court is "dogshit". Off the court he seems to be "dogshit" as well. Odesnik who's career high ranking is a jobber-level #77 was going to Australia to participate in a Australian Open tune-up tournament in Brisbane, when he was busted for bringing HGH (Human Growth Hormone) on the plane and into Australia. He was caught, and later pleaded guilty to the offense. The ITF is now investigating the matter and will rule on his punishment soon. Until then, Odesnik has been allowed to participate in tournaments due to "due process".
Odesnik played just this past week at the US Clay Court Championships in Houston, Texas. He did fairly well making it to the semifinals, where he lost to Sam Querrey. Querrey before the match said "I refuse to lose to that guy".
Mardy Fish was a little more harsh in his words about Odesnik: "I'm the kind of guy who's been around for a long time," Fish told the Houston Chronicle. "This is my 11th year. I've seen a few guys come and go who have cheated and he seems to be no different. There's no room for him. There is no gray area. He pleaded guilty. Any points and money he wins here are going to be gone anyway (if the ITF suspends him). It would be pretty awkward (for me) to play him here. He's a pretty good clay court player. What you don't know now is if any of that is real. It doesn't seem to be. I'd have a serious beef if I were (Jerzy Janowicz, whom Odesnik beat in the first round). And, if I were (Odesnik), I'd take myself out."—
Odesnik has now recently said he never used HGH. He released this from his lawyer “The ITF is presently conducting an investigation of me regarding my possession of HGH while in Australia earlier this year. I have never used nor taken HGH or any other banned substance in my life,” he said. “I am fully cooperating with their investigation and I will have no further comment on the matter until it is concluded.” - For real, who believes a word this scrote says? He pleaded guilty to carrying it on a plane, but now says he never used it. What was he going to do, try and be a pusher, not a user? Give me a break Wayne. The only thing going for him is that he still sucks, so either he is just terrible on or off of HGH or the HGH he was using didn't work. My bet is he pretty much "blows" and HGH couldn't even help that.
In the next coming weeks you will be hearing that Odesnik has been banned for 2 years from competition. Who is going to miss this turd? How many people buy tickets to see Wayne Odesnik play? Yep, nobody. My suggestion to the ITF is that his coach, if he even has a coach needs to get his ass put to the sideline and out of tennis too. Odds are he had a hand in this as well.
