Indian Wells Preview for Saturday, March 20, 2010

The two men's semifinal matchups are the only singles matches today.  Both will be played on Stadium court 1 starting at noon local time.

(#3) Rafael Nadal  vs.  (#20) Ivan Ljubicic
Rafa is starting to get to the point of playing like he did a year and a half ago when he was dominating the ATP Tour and took the #1 ranking from Roger Federer.  His knees, he says are healthy and he feels good on the court.  This is bad news for the Croatian veteran of the tour Ljubicic.  Rafa will advance to the final with a routine win.
Pick:  Nadal
RESULT:  Ivan Ljubicic 3-6, 6-4, 7-6

(#7) Andy Roddick  vs.  (#6) Robin Soderling
This is a tough match to call.  I'd love to see Soderling get to the final and face Nadal, who neither of them like eachother and would make for some fun to watch.  But Roddick on hardcourt in the U.S. is tough to beat, plus I think Soderling has overachieved to get to this point.  Maybe picking against him seems to do the trick.  So I will again..
Pick: Roddick
RESULT: Andy Roddick 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.
