Many as of Tuesday morning quite a few of the top seeds have been knocked out. Maria Sharapova lost to Lucie Safarova in her comeback from a bruised elbow...Justine Henin was knocked out by Aravane Rezai...#9 seed Agnieszka Radwanska lost in the 2nd round to Patty Schnyder...and Victoria Azarenka retired from her match against Shuai Peng when she was down 0-3 in the first set.
